Selecting the Starter Fish for your Saltwater Aquarium

Fishes of magnificence are housed inside saltwater aquariums and some are of the most exquisite and exotic marine species. Colors of different radiance are hypnotic and soothing to the eyes that one can’t help but to be dazzled. If put inside an aquarium, these fishes are enough to add decor to a boring environment and people would want to watch.

Choosing saltwater starter fishes can be quite challenging and exciting because of the varieties you can choose from. Although, you have to consider a lot of things like food, space and environment. If you have just set up your aquarium and have no idea on the particular saltwater fish that may suit the environment of the aquarium, you might as well settle for these two little ideals.

Mollies are so beautiful they attract most people. Mollies are fishes that can survive environments of all sorts. These are fishes which can be good for people who are having a hard time keeping up with the demands of having an aquarium for the first time. Colors of mollies can go from black to silver and even gold just to name a few. They have big back fins and broad tails that make them the perfect choice for the aquarium.

If you really want mollies, it is advisable that you have two females set for every male. This is because mollies are livebearers that are prone to spawn babies inside your tank. In order to provide a good place for your mollies to live in, you must have lots of plants as a fine system of waste filtering for them to stay healthy. You have to maintain cleanliness inside your aquarium because mollies love to eat a lot which means that they tend to excrete a lot of waste inside the aquarium.

Another perfect selection for your aquarium is the damselfish. For one, they are undeniably inexpensive and have varieties of elegant colors. Although, you might not want to join your damselfish with other species because of their nature of being aggressive towards other kinds. Some of the damselfish which are less aggressive are the yellowtail variety. That is why, it is better to separate your damselfish so as not to draw some fight between your fishes.

These two options are some of the best deals when starting up your first saltwater aquarium although, there are also different choices like the tangs, lionfish, and clownfish which are very much famous but are quite expensive.
